Dear members,

I am a student at the University of Toronto and I am currently writing an essay on Arthur Ransome's "Swallows and Amazons." I'm having a terrible time trying to find the following quotes in the book and I was wondering if someone could help me:

a) when John says "lucky we brought a sailmaker's needle," to which Susan replies, "luckier if you knew how to use it."

b) where Titty is described as "the only one with a properly developed imagination and sensibility." --> I'm not sure if this is the exact quote, but I do recall reading a similar reference in the novel.

If anyone can provide me with a chapter reference for these above quotes, I would be extremely grateful!!

Chobi
