Not this overseas cousin - in the 60's we were brought up on English comics and books - not a kiwi in sight. Adored Capt Pugwash - had no idea it was so subversive!
Started with a comic called Jack & Jill - very English village, and progressed onto Beano & Dandy and a whole host of others I've forgotten. Husband has also reminded of Look & Learn and Treasure.
