Can anyone tell me whether any of the copper mines around the lake district resemble the old deep-shaft tin mines down in Cornwall or are they all shallow workings as the S&A's found on High Topps? If so, what is the estimated depth of some of them?
Are there indeed any copper workings or are the mines one of AR's inventions?
