Outrage and innovation - hooray! But people who casually refer to 'consulting the membership' never say how. Sorry to be dull and practical, but presumably this would have to be by post. After getting a list of members from Abbott Hall (for a fee), Joy would have to post letters to every member - about 1,500, second class @ 25p = £375.
Plus the cost of envelopes and paper. Plus several days stuffing the envelopes. Average response rate in TARS = 5%, based on previous experience. The only alternative is to include a questionnaire in the next mailing, which means waiting till the Winter Signals, as I think this year's Moss is now at press.
Or do you have a better idea, Peter?
