Thanks for posting this, Woll. (And thanks also to Magnus for the email update.) Swallow is certainly looking much better after being raised, jury-rigged, and taken back to the boatbuilders for repair....

I'm a little concerned though at the comments about now having a 'watertight' boat. By their nature, clinker vessels are only watertight when they're wet -- ie when the hull has been some hours in the water and the wood has had time to swell, so that the lands of each strake are held fast against each other by the rivets. But I gather that Swallow will be spending a good deal of her time out of the water, and hence subject to drying-out each time before re-launching at a new location.

Each boat needs a different amount of time to take up, depending on her construction materials and expertise of technique. (Aileen Louisa takes a good half-day when she's fully dried out.) So I'm wondering (a) how long it will actually take for this to happen in Swallow's case, and once this has been determined (b) whether your proposed sailing calendar has sufficient lead-time built into it to allow taking-up to occur after each location-change.

No doubt this will be taken into account in due course?
