Has anyone noticed that the new Vintage edition of Swallowdale adds a postscript that addresses the dates question?
We have often been asked which year we climbed Kanchenjunga. It was, of course, 1930, the second year of the Alliance[...] But, by mistake, Mr Ransome wrote 1931, which was the year he wrote it all down, and that got everything else wrong. So now you know. N.B.
