Nitpicky notes: (1) I think it actually says "the Roman Wall".
I believe it wasn't often called Hadrian's Wall in those days,
owing to doubt about whether Hadrian built it.
(Well, obviously he didn't do it personally, but ...)

(2) I think he's just Mr Callum in the earlier books.
It may only be PM in which he's a Prof.

Even greater nitpicking:
My first job (1975) was as a research assistant at University College London.
They were always careful to spell the name without a comma,
but for all I know that may have been a recently introduced affectation.
