Begging your pardon, Sir, but there is ONE place in chapter 2 of PICTS AND MARTYRS when Dick and Dorothea are just getting off the train and Nancy comes running up to meet them and to take them home. Nancy greets them by "SCARABS, ahoy!"

No where else in that book are they referred to by that name. And this name was made even before they got their boat. I suppose there had been some communication as to what they had planned to name their boat which at that point in time was still at the boatbuilders, who of course had to know the name of the boat they were building so they could have its name painted on it.

At other times they were referred to as "The Picts", but such was a very temporary title which is indicative to their very temporary condition of having to hide out fromt the GA.
