Here we go again.
You don't NEED an engine on the Broads. The two of us (with a month old baby - we were young and keen then) once took a Herbert Woods sailing boat with only a quant - not even a dinghy - from Potter through Yarmouth to Beccles, Norwich and back without the slightest trouble.
