I was there yesterday; Norwich, Brundall, Thorpe, plus a tiny hamlet called Oulton Street near Aylsham, not quite the Broads I know, but close enough.

Our self-crowned pirate king is just a tad too boastful for my liking. Time for an alternative candidate. We want piracy and democracy!

Aylsham is on the River Bure. The Bure used to be navigable to just beyond Aylsham until our benevolent dictator's sleepy cousins allowed the navigation to decay. More importantly Aylsham is on the Bure Valley Railway a minature railway running from Wroxham to Aylsham on the trackbed of a branch of the old Great Eastern Railway.

That makes it Broads country for me at any rate.
