I suppose in England we take ferns (bracken) for granted. My e.mail is actually a shortened version of a house where I used to live as a child called Fern Bank: in front of the house was a mass of ferns in the summer. I am attempting to put a link to a site showing 'bracken fern', for those of you who have never come across it. The photos show a very sparse version: it usually covers a whole area (can be acres), to a height of easily three feet, ideal for the Rogers of this world to crawl through undetected!
