Well it's true, and always has been. But far more important, it's fun to say so, to lay claim to old fartdom. AR's books are, by their nature, immune to this disease. But remember in WH where people reminisce about the ice fairs of old, and SD where they are told stories about legendary hound trails.
Personally, I love the present and only regret that I won't see more of the future than I shall. But let's not wish our lives away...
