I've always thought that Mixed Moss was about AR, Signals about TARs (the members) and Dispatches about TARS (The AR Society). Similarly, it seems to me that TarBoard works pretty well as a sort of chat-room for people who are interested in AR who use it to post on topics they think may be of interest to other Tarboardistas. In which case, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, the original post provoked a number of replies.
Perhaps the OP thought that people interested in AR might be interested in exploring coastlines and find the item of interest to them. AR enthusiasts aren't just divided into literalists and lit crtis there are also some who use AR's work as a source of inspiration for their own adventures, real or imaginary. In that context, access legislation seems quite relevant.
Of course, Tarboardistas are entitled to state their preferences for the kind of posts they would like to find on TarBoard, so long as they are reasonably polite about it, and I'm stating my own preference when I say: I wish those who want Ransome, Ransome and nothing but Ransome would get on with providing it instead of moaning about what others choose to post.
