I have recently purchased a very poor copy of SD reprinted August 1932. I would not normally have puchased it as it has been well annointed with schoolroom ink. However is does have, near the front, 2 pages entitled "FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT READ "SWALLOWS AND AMAZONS"".
These pages give a good precis of SA, plus the writing of PD (although not mentioned by name)in the wherry during the Christmas holidays plus a summary of the Swallows travelling north to the start of Swallowdale.
This link had disappeared by my July 1937 edition. Does anyone know why it was discontinued, please?
