Two comments. And this in my humble opinion, I think that the books ended beacause AR vircariously lived out his adventures through the S&As, and he had come to the end of his experiences. The Character's are fictional and could have not grown up at all.

secondly, and I mean this in the best of humour, it would be fun to read about there slightly older adventures. Like the time Nancy & Peggy broke into capt flint's liqour cabnet to try his rum. ( Capt flint.. how am I going to explain this to your mother?)Or When Titty and Rodger decided to try some of the tobacco they bought back from missee's island. Lol
