This is blarney, and directed at me. The only person who has ever protested against repeated 'Beckfoot plumbing' threads is myself. Is it 'brave' for Tarboarders en masse to shout down one person? In decrying the BP topic 6 months ago, I faced what seemed like two dozen frenzied Tarboarders, in the course of which one Tarboarder actually not only told me that he was ceasing to read my posts but that he was opening them for half a second then closing them to register them as 'read' - the most savage put-down I have ever experienced on a website, and one which I have still not quite got over. Not my idea of tolerance and 'conviviality'.
Oh, by the way, I am no longer bothered about whether the BP topic is raised, so no more 'bravery' opportunities there - the last of the Mohicans has gone. Perhaps, instead, the 'chaps at the bar' can play 'chicken' at Oxenholme level crossing . . .
