I'm not Ed, and don't have his wonderful searchable version of the books (bravo, Ed, for doing that :-), but I certainly have spent many happy hours nursing a giant mug of hot tea while reading AR's books. His descriptions of meals are all through the books--from Wildcat meals of buttered eggs, bunloaf and apples to sizzling shark steaks to blackberry-banana mash to stewed rabbit, pork pie, fried cannonballs and hot pot, all accompanied by lashings of pirate grog, ginger beers or hot, milky tea. I drool while I read.....
