Those seem to me like a perfectly sound editorial decisions if you're trying to make sense of the fundamental lines of AR's life, influences and inclinations, except that here we're dealing with a bunch of obsessives (us) who enjoy reliving his life. Feeling the texture with our fingers. BECKFOOT PLUMBING! If Beatle fans can enjoy holding up the traffic at a zebra crossing in Abbey Road (and they do, all the time, with a live web cam to see them do it) AR niggling is a gentle occupation that hurts noone.
