The GA certainly lived at the lake while Molly and Jim were small children. It was her old stamping ground, remembering her covert warfare with the inhabitant of Crag Gill(The Picts & the Martyrs). But we are talking about later, when Molly and her family lived at Beckfoot and she'd retired to Harrogate. Molly was still scared of her as, in spite of her brave words, was Nancy.
