Possibly because she's a hired domestic, AR doesn't feel she's important in moving his plot along. She's shown in the first visit when she reminds Roger to brush his teeth, but thats about it.
Seriously, what could she add to the story unless she was Lake born & bred like Cook or Mary in Swallowdale?
This is where the 'casual elitism' is at its most obvious.AR believed that a two year old needed a personal nurse to care for her and/or to assist Mrs Walker - something only the very wealthy would consider nowdays.
