Except, Mike (welcome back!), when there is only one headsail. In which case, I've always called that a jib (perhaps that's true only in the US). Some boats with just a jib do have a club, as in the incomparable Herreshoff 12 1/2. I suppose you might say "the jib's boom", but I agree that it would normally be called a "club".
