When we decided to change the system last year and go for New Series No. 1, I was told that previous changes in volume number had occurred because the journal had changed format. Volume 3, No. 9 simply felt very unwieldy - hence the change to N.S.1.
Shall talk to Peter about Alan's suggestion of indexing by year (or portion of the year for when we have two a year), but need to go and look up the rules in Judith Butcher's COPY-EDITING first! Probably only courteous to ask the other Tarps too.
Now then, am I going to be able to post this message - or will the system yet again defeat me so that I go crawling to Peter H or Alan H and ask them to post it on my behalf?
