Has anyone built a replica of Racundra? If someone has done so what were its sailing qualities? It is reported in one of Ransomes letters to his Mother "Signalling from Mars" that she was "slow, terribly slow". Is there any verification of this, say by Adlard Coles or anyone who may have built a replica? Ransome loved his boat as she seemed almost a floating living room but was this just the enthusiasm of an owner or do we have independent verification that Racundra really was a good design that sailed well?
