Take a tip, Elizabeth, from one of the TarBoard 'badboys' - it is utterly impossible to predict what reaction there will be to any post - it is pure roulette. Things come right out of the blue. So you might as well say what you feel.
And I'm glad you did, because I'm with you all the way. I love old boats too, and anything to do with water. My dream is to sit in the cabin of a small boat on a lake or Broad and brew tea on a summer's afternoon - perhaps a craft like Teasel
