Hello John; The Royal Hospital School was established a long time ago to provide residential education for the children of British service personnel serving overseas. The "hospital" has nothing to do with medicine, but everything to do with hospitality. It has strong links with the Navy, and the school is divied into "Houses", each named for a British admiral; Blake, Collingwood, Nelson [of course], etc. Each House has a Matron, who looks after the personal needs of the students in that house. Two of my cousins served in this role. I suspect that it would be among the leading contenders for the role of John [and possibly the girls, too]Walker's Old School.
David.
