I was reminded of this by the tobacco thread and then by re-reading PP and getting to the passage where Squashy Hat's exotic Latin American matchbox is found. It is not like the ones the Swallows use which have the Ark on the label (i.e. Bryant and May!)

In SA Mother offers a packet of Force. to save Susan cooking porage every day. Wonder how many packets of Force have been bought because of that - certainly it was enough to make my buy this fairly obscure breakfast cereal when I first saw it!

Father and Uncle Jim both smoke Players' Navy Cut, as established in that thread...

Woolworths get a good plug in WDMTGTS - indeed, as a child in the 60's I remember Woolworths selling translucent red plastic plates - I wanted one but my request was not taken seriously by the grown ups!

Tabacalera Filipina gets a negative plug of sorts in ML - not their fault that one of their cigars gets dropped down a petrol tank by a monkey!

Any others?

What am I missing?
