Probably somebody could give you a more accurate description of seedcake, but I remember it as being a light, yellow cake full of caraway or poppy seeds that would stick in the teeth. Rock cake and pound cake are the ones that intrigue me. Buttered eggs are simply eggs scrambled with a little butter in the frying-pan to keep them from burning. Sometimes you can add a dollop of butter on the top.
