Differences:

AR used compass that had a certan number of angles shown. You hold the compass up and point it to the pole and take a angle measurement. There is always going to be an error.

If you look at the map of the rough bearings in SW you will see that AR gives to bearings that are the two bearings are different by at least 11.25 degrees. The accepted error on any measurement is half the smallest unit which in this case is 5 degrees.

AR is showing the problem with Roger's comment, I agree on that one he is being a bit extreme but the problem is very real.
