AR's Favourite books

It is World Book Week and my grandson would like to know which of the SADs series was Ransome's own favourite book.
At the age of nearly eight he is just as absorbed by the books as I was - to my mind a real cause for Three Million Cheers!

I would like to know what his favourite book by any author was!
