These comments echo my feeling. I have only read ML twice - once as an adult and once as a child - and PD & GN not many more times. I think I prefer the greater innocence in the others.
I also feel sad that Coots in the North was not completed - with 10 other children to lead, Nancy could have been at her very best!
My favourate book depends on the mood I'm in though. I particularly enjoy the books with the D's in beceause I love the vivid imagination and descriptions that come from Dot.
I also enjoy listening to the audio tapes in the car, generally on a long trip so I can hear the whole story without break. I find I pick up on different things and the readers change in emphasis from my own is interesting.
