I've just bought two what I believe are First Editions.
A. THE BIG SIX. "First published November 1940: Fourth Impression January 1943". No dust cover. In very good condition, although appears, well, old. About C$ 20.00
B. THE PICTS AND THE MARTYRS. "First published 1943". No dust cover. In excellent condition, although appears, well, oldish. About C$ 20.00
I never thought I'd ever worry about first editons and all that stuff. But, Ransome does strange things to one.
All this is new to me: I'd appreciate comments from TARBOARD's Collective Wisdom.
