In view of the postings re: the demise of the characters and a what if? discussion.
Supposing when John hit the rock and sunk he hit his head on a rock diving to recover swallow and was drowned.
or when swimming round Wild Cat he got cramps and the rest of the crew were unable to save him and Roger in his desire to rescue also got into trouble.
Of course they could have all got drowned in Goblin instead of arriving in Flushing.
The possibillities are endless.
