Peter's technique of downloading onto one's own computer and then uploading to another server is fine technically and is the only possible one if the image is not already on the WWW, but sails precariously close to the wind regarding the matter of copyright if using an image from another WWW location.

The other technique mentioned by Peter to link directly to the image on that website is simpler and in my view legally safer. Here's how to do it:

1) On a PC 'right click' over the image that you wish to use (on a Mac 'Ctrl click') and choose 'copy image location' from the menu.

2a) Type the Images HTML code given in Ian's TarBoard Message Format Guide "Links and Images" into your message and then 'paste' the image location URL over the 'URL' part of the link. OR

2b) Alternatively 'paste' the image location over the 'http://' in the 'Optional Image URL' box which is three lines down from the main 'Comments' message posting window.

3) Acknowledge the source of the image and post a link to the home page of the source site.

Should the owner of the image try to sue. You can tell your lawyer that:

With a fair wind your lawyer should be able to win the case.
