One boathouse two locations?

I've dug deep into my pile of records and found this. It's Iain Hobbs's answer
to some questions that I put to him in 2006 about the Amazon boathouse. I'm
not sure whether this clears the water or muddies it still further.

The Swallows had to leave the boathouse before they entered the mouth of
the Amazon River. The textual description of the approach to the Amazons
Boathouse where they leave the boathouse, then go across the front of the
house, then enter the mouth of the river.

In SD Captain Flint and the Motor launch are seen to appear from the mouth
of the Amazon NOT from the boathouse where Amazon is usually tied up.
I don't know why AR made the mistake but when you read the two descriptions,
it is obvious.

There is no mention of a second boathouse in SA yet to go to Octopus Lagoon
they would have to go right past it, both ways.
