I am delighted that TARS has launched its own Forum and wish it well. I'm sure that discussion about our favourite author can sustain more than one discussion group!
I for one will continue drinking at the TarBoard Arms. For one thing the Landlord does not charge an entrance fee, for another the company is convivial. The discussion is (mostly) intelligent and if some of us forget ourselves and start a discussion on the track layout of Oxenholme, the other chaps at the bar wait patiently till we finish.
The only subject which can result in a pint of beer being poured over one's head is the perennial problem of Beckfoot plumbing. Nowadays, it's a brave Tarboarder that attempts to turn the flow of a thread in this direction. I look forward to this leaky topic surfacing on the new Forum in due course!
