In both PD and WH there is the mention of "Oil Stoves".
There is also mention of Primus stoves which I well understand to run on heated, pressurised kerosene and are similar to the more common LPG stoves used today.
The "oil Soves" mentioned seem more of a mystery. These seem to burn all the time and provide both warmth and cooking facilities. Susan refers to turning up the oil stove to get the kettle boiling etc.
Were these oil stoves something like a diesel fuelled AGA slow combustion stove or what?
