Can someone remind me of the occasion when Titty (I think) recalls her mother demonstrating how to attract the attention of someone by calling "Coooee", which her mother had learnt from aborigines. Or am I imagining this?
On a local radio station a few days ago, a lady speaker recalled an occasion of about 20 years ago when she saw/heard a young woman (who the speaker referred to as having been at a public school) who used this same method. The radio speaker implied that she herself would feel too self-conscious to use such an expression in public.
