Oh dear, now I've got to do what I said I wouldn't do and continue this thread, but Andy deserves a reply (if anyone is bored by this TARS stuff do feel free to switch to the excellent thread on 'good boats' below).
I agree that there is an ominous silence on the Proposals at present. In Northern Region we were asked to send our views to the NR Chairman. He is to pass them on to the Board. The few people I've spoken to cannot see the point of having fewer, bigger, regions, and then 'subsidiary areas'. Doesn't this mean yet another bureaucratic layer? More committees?
Well maybe not - we don't have much information about all this at the moment but whatever happens these proposals must surely not go through 'on the nod' without membership feedback.
