Brian Hammett is/was a member / the commodore(?) of the Cruising Association which has its magnificent headquarters in the Dock Land area of London. He gave an excellent presentation titled ARTHUR RANSOME AND THE CRUISING ASSOCIATION at the Fifth Literary Weekend in Cambridge. His presentation is contained in the Transcripts of that gathering, and is well worth reading.
