That's a very kind offer Ian, and if I lived about 12,000 miles closer I'd most certainly take you up on it.

For anyone who doesn't know, Ian's "five ton gaff cutter" is actually a Laurent Giles "Vertue" class cruiser, the most famous of all pocket cruisers. Her name (you'd never guess) is Patience, and there are some pictures of her (and him) at the link below.

I'd say to anyone living close enough to take Ian up on his offer, grab a chance and you won't be sorry for a might-have-been.
