At the risk of treading over old ground, I'd like to come to the defense of the humble "camp coffee." It's a very different experience, of course, than a finely brewed cup of designer-java, savored on the terrace while picking through the Sunday paper.
Perhaps its just the “everything tastes better when your camping” syndrome, but there is absolutely nothing finer than sitting at the campsite or in the cockpit, watching the day stretch its arms, pondering the adventures ahead over a cup of steaming coffee made from boiled grounds, perhaps with a dash of salt, and an eggshell to keep the grounds together. Nectar!
