When Nancy climbed up the rose trellis, she came bounding down the stairs and appeared
at the Garden door.
Since Beckfoot stood in its own grounds. There shouldn't have been a garden door as such.
(Because both doors would have lead into the 'garden'.) There would have been a front door
used for special occasions and by the GA! and a back or side door used by everybody else.
I now expect that you'll be able to prove that the term Garden door was used by AR!
