Coincidence? I also first found them in Silver Spring, Maryland, but in the early 60s, and in the Bookmobile rather than a bricks and mortar library. I suppose they could even have been the same copies, though the ones I read had been rebound due to heavy use, and didn't have dust jackets any more.
