I guess I wasn't looking for direct references (such as all the mentions of Peter Duck in SD), but more subtle ones that you only notice if you've read the other book.
First you read about Roger remembering stories of people fainting from pain, then you read about Bill fainting from pain and it's like 'Aha! He heard about people fainting from pain while they were writing the story that winter.'
