Prices seem to be ever increasing. Perhaps today’s prices will look cheap in 10 years time.
Glad I purchased Webb SA & SD with dust jackets some time ago.
For my original books, purchased new in the 1950’s – I have made replacement dust jackets as most of the originals have long gone. The fronts and sometimes the spines can be sampled from the web, the backs and inside rear flap I have typed out in table form. Used Book Antiqua as a very close match to the Cape original typeface.
Using a A4 printer, I have printed inside front flap, front and spine as one sheet – then back inside back flap as another sheet. Sprayed both sheets with inkjet fixative, trimmed for height and joined the two sheets with Scotch Archival tape.

I have TarBoarded before on my preference for the paper in books printed in pre WW2 paper no matter what the edition. It has a weight and feel that none of the later papers have achieved.

The only book I am really seeking is the un-illustrated first edition of SA. If I find it my pocket may well be insufficient to meet the price asked.
