John Nichols asked (a couple of days ago and way down the page)that he would ask AR if John and Nancy got married. One thing that is kept from the books is the teen romances. I'm sure that the boys and girls of the thirties would have wanted to touch each other as much as todays youth. John and Nancy? John and Daisy? Tom with Port and Starboard? Dick and Titty? (okay, maybe not Dick) but the possibilities are there. Even Roger would eventually mature into someone that Dorothea could have loved.

If I had been a young guy in the circle of friends as portrayed in the movie, all my adventures would have been focused on snuggling up with the girl who played Mate Susan.
