However we cannot be sure that all those places were visited by CF. The trunk my have belonged to his father, who we know from PP was a prospector himself. CF may have inherited the trunk with some of it's labels. But, to be fair, PP does mention South Africa that is not listed as being on the labels.

Incidentally these labels are collected nowadays; people buy old luggage to steam off the labels. CF's trunk may now be worth more than it's contents!
