Sure, I didn't make myself clear at all... But the point is about sea shores. They are held to be special in many countries. In some, river banks have the same status- they can't be private. Now it's unfortunate for those who felt that they were buying certain property rights and may now find themselves dispossessed (in a specific and limited sense). But as society changes, these things do happen. The changes usually have good reasons behind them. It could be that the concept of 'property' needs an overhaul, and that this might be a start. As to whether that's right or wrong in this case, I really don't know.
