In WDMTGTS when Cdr. Walker joins his children on board Goblin at Flushing, there is no mention of the luggage travelling with him.
Presumably, having travelled overland from the Far East, he would have bought at least a couple of cases and probably the standard naval officers' cabin trunk.
These must have been left on the Harwich bound steamer at Flushing as there would not have been time to unload them.
I am surprised that he did not say, in the telegram to Captain Curtledge, please send a couple of your chaps to pick up my luggage at Harwich. Obviously it would have to clear through customs at Harwich Docks.
