Yes, a small group of TARS explorers including two Juniors, Alison and Fearghal, came upon a small cave in a steepsided valley with waterfalls above and below - it's at the top of Tilberthwaite Ghyll which is acknowledged as High Topps country. (I hope). You can almost see the cave mouth on the right hand side of the stream.
However, while we know AR knew this area well and I am sure that this valley may have spurred his creation of Swallowdale, I fully accept it is in the wrong location whereas Swallowdale 1 is in the right location but I feel makes a poor Swallowdale. Ergo, he combined different elements to create his own unique landscape.
